Corporate houses to open stalls in Trade Fair

Kozhikode, Dec 18 (UNI) Multinationals LG and Samsons Electronics, automobile majors Maruti Udyog Ltd and Honda Motors would be among the many participants in the Trade Fair as part of Malabar Shopping Festival beginning here from December 22.

Talking to newspersons here Kozhikode Mayor and Organising Committee Chairman M Bhaskaran said the Kerala Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac, would formally inaugurate the month-long event.

The inaugural function would be followed by a musicial concert by noted playback Singer K S Chitra, Sreenivas, Afzal and Ganga and directed by Tej Mervin, he added.

Mr Bhaskaran said Kerala Industrial Department would also participate in the fair, which will have 400 stalls in different localities in the city.

Apart from the fair, an array of programmes, including mega cultural events, amusement melas, adventure sports, circus, magic shows seminars on different topics, would also be held, he added.

He said the organising committee has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the programmes, organised on the line of Dubai Shopping Festival.
