Specialisation key to success in the field of animation:Daffy

Mumbai, Dec 17 (UNI) The field of computer graphics offers a lot of avenues having immense job potential but the key to success is specialisation in the respective discipline, opines acclaimed Graphic specialist Andrew Daffy.

Daffy, who had won accolades for his work on projects as 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Walking with Dinosaurs, James Bond title sequences including the latest Casino Royale, was delivering a lecture to the students of MAYA Academy of Advanced Cinematics.

He said the animation field is a wide area of activity that covers a whole range of skills and styles, creature and character, photos -- real to stylised, mainstream to cult.

Any aspirant entering into the field need not only have overall knowledge of the but specialisation in their area of interest.

Sharing his experiences the master graphic artist said he had to work harder on a Levis jeans advertisment than the Hollywood blockbuster Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Daffy, whose passion is to teach multimedia, has established his own school and studios a year ago called the House of Curves.

In fact, a study by Anderson Consulting reveals that the animation industry in India is poised to touch a whopping 15 billion US Dollars by 2008. The report also states that there might be a need for about three lake multimedia professionals by then.
