Rebels involved in killing of Minister's daughter arrested
Imphal, Dec 17 (UNI) Manipur Police have claimed a breakthrough in the brutal murder of Baby Lungnila Elizabeth, the daughter of state power minister Francis Ngajokpa, three years ago.
Additional Superintendent of police Th.Radheshyam today said the two ultras of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were arrested in this connection by a combined security force yesterday.
He said one of the ultras was allegedly involved in the kidnapping and murder of Baby Lungnila Elizabeth in Novevember 2003.
The killing of the young girl had sent shock waves in the state.
The body was found in a gunny back a few days after she was kidnapped. Police said the two rebels were also involved in the firing at the residence of one Executive Engineer and on BSF troops earlier.
One AK-47 Rifle, two magazines and ten live bullets were also recovered from them.
