Justin, Wihan fashion SA Club's 10-wicket triumph
Chandigarh, Dec 17 (UNI) After gaining experience in the initial stage of their 40-day tour of India, Alberton Cricket Club Under-17 team asserted themselves as they raced to an impressive 10-wicket triumph over Panchkula District Cricket Association Under-17 team in a 30-over match at the JR Institute of Cricket Technology in Barwala in Panchkula, 35 km from here today.
The victory was made possible due to brilliant batting by openers Justin Hoston (75) and left-handed Reynake Wihan (72) who achieved the target without being separated. The pair was associated in an unbroken 166-run partnership.
Fifteen-year-old Justin reached the fence 11 times and also hit a six. All-rounder Wihan's breezy knock was studded with 11 fours and just 38 deliveries.
Earlier,PDCA XI won the toss and batted first. They made 165 for 4 in allotted 30 overs. Devrath batted confidently and piled up well-made 65 with the help of six boundaries.
SA team's coach Saurabh Chatterjee was elated with the result. He complimented his boys for putting up fine display despite a tight schedule. Industralists ID Kamboj and Kewal Garg distributed the prizes.
