Hooda urges opponents to refrain from 'veiled politics'

Hisar, Dec 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today challenged his political opponents to come to the fore instead of indulging in ''veiled politics''.

The Chief Minister, who was addressing the 'Chetna Vikas Rally' at village Balsamand in Adampur constituency in the district, suggested his opponents get themselves involved in the politics of mass welfare with a team spirit and desist from the politics of vested interests.

Without naming any one, he said that a few people were indulging in tea party politics. ''In case, the local MLA had invited me over a cup of tea, I would have been very happy'', he said without refering to former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal who is the Congress MLA from Adampur.

The 'tea party politics' refered to by the Chief Minister was an obvious reference to Mr Bhajan Lal's onging tea parties in the state with his supporters in the Congress.

He regretted that the state had not progressed as much in last four decades as it could have.

Speaking in the increased corruption in the state, Mr Hooda sought the cooperation of the people in the eradication of corruption and making the state free from crime.

While referring to the demands of the area put up by Member Parliament, Mr Jai Prakash, the Chief Minister declared Balsamand as a model village and said an ITI would also be set up in the village.
