7th senior women national boxing championship inaugurated

Visakhapatnam, Dec 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority Chairman Madan Singh Raj Tagore inaugurated the 7th Senior Women National Boxing Championship in the Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium here today.

Speaking after inaugurating, he said the state government had conducted 200 sports events, including 30 international events, during the last two years.

He also said the city contributed many boxers who represented the state and country and earned medals.

More than 200 women boxers are taking part in the championship.
