Winter session of J'khand Assembly likely to be stormy
Ranchi, Dec 16 (UNI) The winter session of Jharkhand Assembly scheduled from Dececmer 18 is likely to be stormy as the oppositions have planned to grill the government on issues like corruption, crime and extremism.
Leader of opposition and former chief minister Arjun Munda said today that both crime and corruption had increased during the Madhu Koda regime and it would definitely be one of the key issues to be discussed on the floor of the house.
He said developmental projects were not operational and the government had failed to check illegal movement of iron ore and coal from the state. On the issue of small time frame of the session, Mr Munda said it was now their turn to answer why the session had only five working days.
Meanwhile, Speaker Alamgir Alam had urged the opposition and treasury bench to maintain the dignity of house and cooperate during the session.
Mr Alam said the session was of a small time frame but special discussions would be held on public importance matters.
Winter session beginning from December 18 would end on December 22 with five working days.
Debate and voting on second supplementry budget would be done on December 20 and December 22 has been scheduled for the private member bill.
