Rolf Heer movies at Chennai Film Fest

Chennai, Dec 16 (UNI) A retrospective of seven multi award-winning films of Australian Film Maker Rolf de Heer will feature at the Chennai International Film Festival beginning here tomorrow.

A press release from the Australian High Commission here said the films were being brought to Chennai as part of 'AusArts India - Celebrating Australian Art and Culture 2006-07,' a two-year cultural promotion programme in India supported by the Australian Government.

The retrospective includes 'Ten Canoes,' winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival and the first such work to be shot entirely in Aboriginal language.

The curtains will come down on the Chennai Film Festival on December 25.
