Panaji, Dec 16 (UNI) Three well-known bands from across the country will perform at a jazz yatra ''Liberate your Jazz'', to be held on December 19 at heritage homes in Goa, to raise money for building the state's first eye bank.

Speaking to media persons here yesterday, Trancemedia convenor Armando Gonsalves said the show will be held under the umbrealla of the Heritage Jazz Yatra at heritage homes in Goa.

The bands that will perform at the show include Amit Heri Group, Babush Santana Quintet, led by a completely blind drummer, and Interplay.

He said ''Inspired by Babush Santana's courage and tenacity against all odds (blindness), we have been enthused to donate.

There are over 2,000 blind people in the state and we plan to raise about Rs 1 lakh through the show.'' ''Goa does not have an eye bank. We would take the message to the people and will donate a sum of money to the Rotary Club of Panaji as contribution towards corpus for setting up of the eye bank,'' Mr Gonsalves added.
