'informer' shot dead by militants

Imphal, Dec 16 (UNI) Manipur police have found a bullet-ridden body of a person killed by Revolutionary Peoples' Front (RPF) for allegedly working as ''an informer to the military''.

The body was brought to morgue for postmortem today.

Meanwhile, claiming responsibility of killing the man, the RPF said the man was awarded capital punishment last night for allegedly working as ''an informer to the military''.

The deceased was identified as Md Ahamad Ali (42). The outfit said it had names of another three informers and warned them to surrender before the outfit.
