Infiltration bid foiled, 2 Pak ultras killed

Jammu, Dec 16 (UNI) The security forces today foiled an infiltration bid by ultras and gunned down two Pakistani intruders at the Line of Control (LoC) on Krishna Ghati in border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here.

Army spokesperson said security forces spotted the movement of a group of six to seven infiltrators who were trying to cross LoC at Krishna Ghati about 240 km from Jammu early today.

''Troops of 10 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) spotted the two rebels sneaking into the Indian side in the forested mountain area. A gun fight started between security forces and militants and ultimately both the ultras were killed, sources said.

Two AK 56, one GPF, one radio set, eight magazines, one map and ten grenades were recovered from the spot. The slain militant is yet to be identified, sources added.
