Former minister files anticipatory bail petition

Patna, Dec 16(UNI) Former Bihar minister and RJD leader Jagdanand Singh today filed an anticipatory bail petition before the district and sessions judge in connection with the irregularities committed in execution of Durgawati water reservoir project.

The matter would be heard on December 18.

Earlier forest officer of Patna circle cum Chief Conservator A K Sinha had filed a case in this connection in the court of Chief judicial Magistrate Sushma Sinha in which besides Mr Singh, the then forest secretary Hemchand Sirohi, then water resources commissioner V Jaishankar, and former development commissioner G S Kang were made accused under Indian Forest Act 1927, Wild Life Protection Act 1972 and Indian Penal Code.
