Kolkata, Dec 16 (UNI) After months of hibernation, cricket gossiping returned to kitchen doors in Bengal when their pride Sourav Ganguly celebrated his comeback to national squad with an unbeaten 51 that guided India to 249 all out against South Africa on the second day of the first Test at Johannesburg.

His half-century thousand miles away was greeted here with bursting of crackers and blowing of conch shells in all parts of the city in general and Behala in particular where the southpaw resides.

People remained glued to their TV sets either at home or on the roadside shops to watch their lefthander fight against awesome Proteas pace and his hardfought 51 with four fours and one sixer was the talk of the town.
