Be careful when purchasing land in Guwahati

Guwahati, Dec 16: Asom government has appealed to the people to be extra-careful when purchasing land in Guwahati and other places in the state.

An official notification said here today that it has come to the notice of the government that many people were facing difficulties after purchasing lands from people, who actually do not have either the title or possession over the land.

''The state government, therefore, requested the land purchasers to ascertain from the offices of the Revenue Circles Officers, Deputy Commissioners or Sub-Divisional (Civil) Officers whether the seller has clear and undisputed title over the land proposed to be sold and undisputed and undisturbed possession over the land to be sold'', it said.
