AP govt to improve conditions of police
Hyderabad, Dec 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Dr YS Rajsekhara Reddy today said the government would improve the condition of the 15 police battalions to meet the requirements of the state.
Participating in 49th Foundation Day celebrations of Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) here, Dr Reddy said the state government would also take steps for the welfare of families of Special Police in future.
Observing that 80 per cent of the greyhound forces which have been fighting Naxals belonged to the APSP, he said the naxal infested states were coming to Andhra Pradesh to learn the techniques to curbing the naxal menace. State Home minister K Jana Reddy and other polcie officials also present.
