Punjab govt to take care of children of women prisoners

Chandigarh, Dec 15 (UNI) Keeping in line with the directions of the Supreme Court, the Punjab government has approved measures to take care of children living with women prisoners.

For this purpose the government will create special posts, a meeting of the state Cabinet, with Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in the chair today decided.

The Cabinet also gave approval to the proposal to create more posts of Law Officers and enhancement of pay perks of Law Officers in the office of the state's Advocate General.
