Winter session of Tripura Assembly begins Friday

Agartala, Dec 13 (UNI) A five-day long winter session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly beings here on Friday in which three government sponsored bills are expected to be introduced for enactment.

According to official sources, though the session is for five days, there will be only three working day due to Saturday and Sunday.

Introduction of the Tripura State Legislative member (Declaration of assets and liabilities) Bill 2006, the Tripura State rifles (Second ammendment) Bill 2006 and the Tripura Agricultural Producer Markets (Second ammendement ) Bill 2006 is on the agenda of the session.

As per the declaration of assets and liabilities (Bill-2006), all the elected members will have to submit their accounts of wealth within the scheduled period, failing which necessary action would be taken against the defaulters. This was decided at Business Advisory committee (BAC) meeting under the chairmanship of Speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath.
