Thirteen dead, 30 injured as bus falls into deep gorge

Ambaji, Dec 13 (UNI) At least thirteen people were killed and 30 others injured when a State Transport bus in which they were travelling, fell into a gorge in Trishulia Ghat on the Ambaji-Palanpur road today.

Among the dead are ST depot manager P G Patel and the bus driver.

The bus was on its way to Ahmedabad from Ambaji, when it skidded off the road and plunged into the 80-ft gorge.

Police and fire brigade teams have rushed to the spot. Rescue operations are being hampered because of darkness and the rough terrain in the dense forest belt.

The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Ambaji and Palanpur.
