TDP leader demands resignation of CM
Rajahmundry, Dec 13: Former Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhary today demanded that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy should resign immediately for holding assigned land and his move to surrender 618 acres of land declared excess under 'Sealing Law'.
Addressing newspersons herre Mr Chowdary asked the Chief Minister why he had not surrendered the land earlier. He also demanded an inquiry into all land dealings, besides land sealing.
A Chief Secretary level committee should be formed to inquire into the excess land issue, he added.
He alleged that apart from these lands, the Chief Minister also owned several "benami" lands.
