Six dead, 26 injured as bus falls into deep gorge

Ambaji, Dec 13 (UNI) At least six persons were killed and 26 others injured when a State Transport bus in which they were travelling, fell into a deep gorge in Trishulia ghat near Danta taluka on the Ambaji-Palanpur road today.

The bus was on its way to Ahmedabad from Ambaji, when it skidded off the road and fell into the 80 ft gorge.

H N Kawata, Controller, State Transport Corporation, Palanpur, has confirmed the casualty figure. Earlier, unconfirmed reports had put the figure at 13.

Among the six dead are ST Depot manager P G Patel and the bus driver. The 26 injured have been shifted to Palanpur and Danta hospitals, he said.
