Mumbai and 9 other civic body polls to be held on Feb 1

Mumbai, Dec 13 (UNI) The much-awaited Brihanmumbai municipal corporation elections will be held on February 1.

State Election Commissioner Mr Nandlal told mediapersons that besides Mumbai, Thane, Ulhasnagar, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwadi, Nasik, Solapur, Akola, Amravati and Nagpur civic polls will be held on February 1.

He pointed out that for the first time in the state, electronic machines will be used in civic polls.

The counting will be held on the next day. he added.
