Dehradun, Dec 13 (UNI) The Uttaranchal unit of the BJP received a shot in the arm as Mr Lakhiram Joshi, a former Minister in the Uttaranchal BJP interim government, rejoined the BJP.
He had earlier left the party to join hands with Uma Bharati's Bharatiya Janshakti Party.
Former Uttaranchal President of Bharatiya Janashakti Party, in the presence of BJP State General Secretary (Organisation) Naresh Banasal told reporters here today that he had left the party due to some difficulties. ''After putting his difficulties in front of BJP National President Rajnath Singh, Former party supremo Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, State in-charge Ravishankar Prasad, National General Secretary (Org) Sanjay Joshi and former Union Minister Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri and getting appropriate response from them he had decided to return back to his old party .
He has resolved to express solidarity and faith in the principles of the BJP and to work dedicatedly for the party. Earlier the decision to leave the party was taken by him in inevitable circumstances. ''This will not happen again,'' he said.
