Haryana to give loans to minority community students
Chandigarh, Dec 13 (UNI) For providing better educational facilities to the students belonging to minority communities, the Haryana government has decided to provide loan facilities to them.
The loan would be extended to those students belonging to minority communities who wanted to pursue professional courses of three years or more duration, a spokesman for the Haryana Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections Kalyan Nigam said today.
The loans would be sanctioned by the Nigam with assistance from National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation.
He said loans would be provided for MBBS, BDS, MDS and BAMS courses from any government medical, dental, Ayurvedic college or any other college or institute recognized by MCI or DCI.
Loans would also be provided for Degree or Diploma in any branch of Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Architecture, ME, M Tech, MCA from IITs, NITs, any government college or polytechnic and any such institute approved by AICTE.
He said the other eligible courses were D Pharma, B Pharma, M Pharma from any government or recognised pharmacy institute, Diploma in Nursing, B Sc. Nursing, M Sc Nursing from any government or recognized Nursing institute, MBA from IIM or such recognised institutions, diploma or degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Hotel Management, B Sc Library Sciences, M Sc in Library Sciences.
