Haryana to follow Chinese pattern of development: CM
Jhajjar, Dec 13 (UNI) Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that industrialisation would be promoted in Haryana on the Chinese pattern to generate maximum number of employment opportunities.
Referring to his China visit about 10 years back and his recent visit to the country, Mr Hooda told mediapersons here that the situation in China now was different and the country had made rapid progress in the field of industrialisation.
Reply up to a querry, Mr Hooda said that the Rohtak-Jhajjar-Rewari Railway line would be completed within the stipulated period and it would help in developing the area.
When asked to comment on the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) being set up in the state, the chief minister said it would generate tremendous employment opportunities and add to the development of the state. He criticised former state Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala for not supporting the SEZ project.
Later, Mr Hooda laid the foundation stone of an industrial training institute at village Gudda. The institute would be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.71 crore and government would provide Rs four crore for purchase of machinery. It would have 500 seats and 16 main trades.
The Chief Minister said that ten students of Gudda village would be admitted to the ITI every year. He also announced to give Rs 10 lakh for the pavements of the village and Rs 12 lakh for construction of a boundary wall and a play ground.
