Haryana delivers 7.61 lakh tonne to Central Pool

Chandigarh, Dec 13 (UNI) The Haryana Government has delivered 7.61 lakh tonnes rice to the Central Pool so far.

Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan today said six Government procuring agencies had delivered 4.98 lakh tonnes of rice while the millers had contributed 2.63 lakh tonnes to the Central Pool.

He said the HAFED has delivered 2.11 lakh tonnes of rice, Food and Supply had delivered 1.59 lakh tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation had delivered 0.54 lakh tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation had delivered 0.23 lakh tonnes, Confed had delivered 0.44 lakh tonnes and Food Corporation of India had delivered 0.07 lakh tonnes of rice.

Kurukshetra district had delivered the maximum 1.72 lakh tonnes of rice followed by Karnal 1.34 lakh tonnes, Kaithal 1.25 lakh tonnes, Fatehabad 88,704 tonnes and Ambala 86,792 tonnes.
