Govt to build 27 roads along India-China Border
New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) The Government has decided to construct 27 road links of 608 km length in a phased manner in border areas along India-China Border, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways K H Muniappa said in a written reply that eight sections to be covered under the project fall in the North Eastern States.
These are Rama Sapper-Mago-Chuna, Zimithang-Survasamba-Khinzemane, Shungatsar-Kharsang La, Yarlung- Lamang and Bona to Gelling which come in Arunachal Pradesh and Dombang-Gora La, Thangu-Muguthang and Giagang- Kerang in Sikkim.
This project is targeted to be completed by the year 2012-13, he added.
