Fourth phase of Punjab CMs Vikas Yatra from Dec 22
Jalandhar, Dec 13 (UNI) Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh will begin the fourth phase of his Vikas Yatra from December 22.
Talking to reporters here Capt Singh said the next phase would be undertaken in Southern Malwa region of the state and would last for three days.
He said that five more phases of the yatra would be undertaken later in January and February to cover all 117 assembly segments of the state. He also expressed satisfaction over the response of people to his yatra and said that criticism of the yatra from some quarters was politically motivated.
Meanwhile, the chief minister today resumed his yatra from Khajuralia village near here and concluded the third phase at Nawanshahar.
The yatra evoked good response from Congress supporters and large groups of people greeted it with welcome slogans at a number of points along the route from Jalandhar to Nawanshahar. Large number of supporters also gathered at places like Phagwara, Banga and Khatkar Kalan.
With the end of the third phase the Vikas Yatra has covered 42 of the total 117 assembly segments, Capt Singh said.
The yatra was launched on November 8 from Nangal.
