Electricity generation to rise by 1100 MW in 2007
Bhopal, Dec 13 (UNI) As a result of efforts of the Madhya Pradesh Government, an additional 1,100 MW would be added to the present power production capacity on the completion of the Sanjay Gandhi thermal power project, Chachai unit of Amarkantak thermal house and Onkareshwar hydel-power house in 2007.
According to the energy department, a 500 MW power generation would start taking place from Birsinghpur unit of the Sanjay Gandhi thermal electricity project from January 31, 2007, an official release said here today.
Besides, 390 MW electricity generation would be added to the present capacity on the completion of six units of Onkareshwar in 2007.
Similarly, Chachai unit of Amarkantak thermal electricity house would be completed by July 2007 to produce 210 MW power, the release added.
