CPI(M), TRS leaders demand distribution of lands to poor

Hyderabad, Dec 13 (UNI) Floor leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marsxist) Nomula Narasimhaiah and Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) G Vijayarama Rao today demanded the government distribute assigned lands to the poor and Dalits in the state.

Talking to pressmen outside the Assembly here today, Mr Narasimhaiah said his party had always worked for the welfare of the poor and the government should take back the excess lands as per the Land Reforms Act and distribute them to the poor.

He said everyone should hand over the excess lands to the government and respect the Land Reforms Act.

Mr Vijayarama Rao alleged the lands belonging to the poor and Dalits were encroached by the influential persons and the government should take them back and hand them over to the poor and Dalits in the state.
