Chouhan holds interactive business meet with Malaysian companies
Bhopal, Dec 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today held an interactive business meet with a number of Malaysian companies.
Using the occasion to hard-sell Madhya Pradesh, Mr Chouhan, who is visiting Malaysia, focused on the strengths of the state in his address.
He said the state government was committed to development and was taking steps to promote investment. He assured that necessary support would be provided for taking investment decisions.
Pointing out that India's growing economy held great promise, he said Madhya Pradesh was the fastest moving state and was emerging as favourite investment destination, an official statement said here today.
The CM invited them to participate in the forthcoming investors' meet to be held on January 16-17, 2007.
In response, several investors expressed their desire to explore possibilities of potential projects in the state.
The Malaysia South Association (MASSA) Vice President said states like Madhya Pradesh held great promise for investors.
The meeting was organised by the state government in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Indian High Commission in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, MPSIDC signed an MoU with the Consortium of Indian Industries in Malaysia (CIIM), the statement added.
