Bank manager, lecturer convicted for cheating Indus Bank

Kochi, Dec 13 (UNI) The CBI Special Court today sentenced a bank manager and senior lecturer to three year rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 4.5 lakh each for cheating Indus Bank Housing Limited and receiving brokerage.

According to an official release here, the court convicted the Manager of Indian Bank Sreenivasan Thampan and senior lecturer of Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram, Titto K Cherian for entering into a conspiracy to cheat Ind Bank Housing Limited and for receiving brokerage to the tune of Rs 20 lakh.
