Appointment of Chairmen and Presidents by month end: Yediyurappa

Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yadiyuarappa today said that appointment of Chairmen and Presidents to various Boards and Corporations would be made by this month end.

Talking to newspersons here, he said that the issue would be taken up at the Coordination Committee meeting to be held tomorrow.

Regarding the proposed one-day strike by the State Government employees on December 14 demanding the implementation of the Fifth Pay Commission report, he said the Government was ready for talks and consider their demands. He appealed to the employees not to go on strike.

He said the government would soon release Rs 250 crore for construction of Vidhan Soudha in Belgaum, where it was decided to hold Legislative Session once in a year.
