Aditya Madkakar, Nupur Kaul in semifinals

Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 13 (UNI) Top seed Aditya Madkakar and Nupur Kaul of Maharashtra today entered the men's and women's singles semi finals in the All India Ranking Tennis Tournament on at the Cosmopolitan Club here.

In the men's quarter finals, Aditya had an easy victory over N Kiran Kumar of Karnataka 6-3, 6-3, while Nupur trounced Kesika Jayapalan of Tamil Nadu 6-4, 6-2.

Fourth seed Arjun Gautam of Karnataka faced stiff challenge from third seed P C Vighnesh of Andhra Pradesh in another men's quarter final match.

Arjun after losing the first set to Vighnesh 4-6, went on to win the next two 6-3, 6-3 to find a berth in the semifinals.

In another women's quarterfinal match, Chira Shanthi Rajur of Karnataka scored a facile win over Jilke Nelord of Delhi 6-2, 6-1 and entered the last eight.
