TELSCC to collect food, medicine for Tamils in SL
Chennai, Dec 12: Tamil Eelam Liberation Supporters Coordination Committee (TELSCC) will launch a fortnight long movement in the state from December 15 to collect food, medicines and other essential commodities to the starving Tamils in Lanka.
TELSCC Convenor P Nedumaran, a staunch supporter of Tamil Eelam, yesterday said here that the collected materials would be despatched to the suffering Tamils through the International Red Cross Society.
In a statement here, Mr Nedumaran said the TELSCC also condemned the Lankan government for not reopening the Colombao-Jaffna A9 National Highway, following which five lakh Tamils were facing starvation deaths due to lack of food and medicines.
