TCS organises medical camp in tribal village of Jharkhand
Jamshedpur, Dec 12: Tribal Cultural Society(TCS), a non-profit voluntary organisation promoted by Tata Steel, organised a free medical camp on December 10 at Barposh, a remote village near Manoharpur in the tribal-dominated West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.
Residents of 10 villages from Manoharpur and surrounding areas attended the Health Camp and more than 650 patients registered for the camp in which six doctors were present including, Gynaecologist, Dermatologist,Paediatric,Ophthalmologist and General Physician.
In addition to the medical check-ups of the villagers,blood samples were also collected by the medical team to conduct blood tests for Malaria and other diseases.X-ray facilities were also provided for the villagers in the camp and free medicines were distributed amongst the patients.
The medical team present at Manoharpur consisted 48 persons, including Doctors, Para Medics,TCS staff and Community Health Provider Trainees from TCS.
