Rs 20 crore central aid to three districts of W Bengal

Kolkata, Dec 12 (UNI) The Ministry of Rural Development has released Rs 20 crore under Indira Awas Yojana(IAY) for three districts of West Bengal.

The Central assistance for this fiscal would be utilised for IAY in North 24-Parganas, Uttar Dinajpur and Malda districts.

The second installment of Rs.10 crore was released recently.

The funds will be utilised for construction of new houses and upgradation of kutcha houses to pucca ones.

The expenditure on the implementation of the programme was to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Centre and the State respectively.
