Ill-treatment of Haj pilgrims by JK, Saudi govt: Anjman Islamia
Bhaderwah, Jammu, Dec 12 (UNI) Prominent Muslim body Anjman Islamia today criticised the Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee and the Saudi Arabia administration for the ill-treatment being meted out to Haj pilgrims.
Anjman Islamia chairman of Bhaderwah Haji Ghulam Rasool Rangraz, addressing a body meeting, expressed dissatisfaction over the facilities being provided to Haj pilgrims of the state.
In a statement, the Anjman Islamia alleged that Saudi Arabia's Haj administration had provided c-grade facilities to the Haj pilgrims whileas they were charged for class-a.
''As per schedule, class-a facilities were to be provided to the Haj pilgrims but to there utter surprise, they were provided class-c facilities,'' he claimed.
At least 35 pilgrims from the state, including 16 from the mountainous Doda district of the region, suffered due to negligence of the administration, Mr Rangraz added.
Meanwhile, the body has condoled the demise of a Haj pilgrim from Kishtwar who died in a road accident near Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
