Huge investment opportunities for Indian cos in Saudi- JCCI

Dubai, Dec 12 (UNI) India's excellence in technologies and services provides great synergies for stronger economic ties with Saudi Arabia, a top business chamber official has said.

Saudi Arabia with its strong and growing economy offers tremendous business and investment opportunities for Indian companies, Mr Mazen Batterjee, Vice Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) said.

''The Kingdom has billions of dollars of infrastructure projects that can be taken advantage of by India with its technological and service prowess,'' he said on his return from a business trip to India.

Mr Batterjee, who met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior government officials, said he is happy to note that Indian companies are keen in participating in the various developmental projects of the Kingdom.

Many Indian firms have taken advantage of the new Saudi investment laws which allow setting up of 100 per cent foreign owned projects or joint ventures in the Kingdom.
