GTDC organises family event at Mayem Lake on Dec 17

Panaji, Dec 12 (UNI) Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) today announced that it, in association with Sean AD Event, will organise a day-long fun-filled family event ''Ya Ya Mayem Ya'' at Mayem Lake in north Goa on December 17.

GTDC chairperson Fatima D'Sa and managing director Sanjit Rodrigues told reporters here that the main objective of the event is to promote Mayem Lake as an eco-destination for tourists and amongst the Goan families, who would like to spend weekends in its calm spread of water with geese and pedal boats and cottages hidden in the lush green slopes.

Amongst the fun-filled activities would be traditional cultural dances, a fashion show and dance performances by Frankfinn&IIAS.

Three bands would be in attendance to keep the guests entertained.

Besides, races of the pedal boats and treasure hunt contest around Mayem will be held. The winners will be awarded cash prizes, she added.
