Centre has notified 136 Land Customs Stations to boost trade:Jairam

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The Centre has notified 136 Land Customs Stations (LCS) to promote trade with neighbouring countries, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh said in in written reply that 13 LCS have been identified for development into integrated Check Posts at an estimated cost of Rs 850 crores in a phased maner.

He said these LCS when fully developed would house all regulatory agencies like immigration, customs, border security together with support facilities like parking warehousing banking and hotels in a single complex equipped with all modern amenities.
