Advocates of subordinate courts in Rajasthan end stir
Jaipur, Dec 12 (UNI) Advocates in subordinate courts across Rajasthan called off their indefinite stir following an assurance their leave in a year would be kept the same as last year.
Jaipur Bar Association's president Dr Sunil Sharma said after High Court's Registrar accepted the demands of the advocates, the indefinite strike has been called off. The advocates would take out a Victory Rally here tomorrow.
The advocates have been agitating from Dec one as their leave in a calender year have been reduced and they were demanding their calender year be the same as those of advocates in the High Court.
He said the advocates would discuss their demands with the special three-member team of justices tomorrow and would hand over the report to Chief Justice M N Jha.
The High Court administration would issue the new leave calender.
However, judicial work could not be conducted today following the strike.
