Vinay, Abhay enters pre-quarters in All India Tennis tourney

Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 11 (UNI) Dryanash V Singh of Delhi and Abhay Prakash of Karnataka today moved into the men's singles pre-quarter final in the All India ranking tennis tournament being played at the Cosmopolitan club here today.

Singh defeated P Pavan of Andhra Pradesh in straight sets 6-1,3-0 (conceded), while Prakash outwitted Krishna Karsotia of Uttar Pradesh 6-1,6-0 in the first round of the main draw.

In the other match, Gautam Arjun of Karnataka overcame stiff resistance from Sandeep Choudhary of Rajasthan in the first set and won the match 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 to move into the pre-quarter finals.

V M Ranjeet of Tamil Nadu, also booked a place in the pre-quarter finals defeating R Matharia of Maharashtra in straight sets 6-2,6-1.
