New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) A delegation of top BJP leaders from Uttar Pradesh, led by party Vice- President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, will meet Chief Election Commissioner to apprise the body of the ''intentions of the Mulayam Singh government to indulge in various electoral malpractices'' in the forthcoming asembly elections.

The delegation, comprising leaders like Vinay Katiyar, Keshri Nath Tripathi, Kalraj Mishra and Santosh Gangwar, will seek to bring to the EC's notice, the ''bungling'' the Samajwadi Party-led government is undertaking and also the indiscriminate issuance of armed licences to persons with criminal backgrounds.

BJP sources said the party will also bring to the notice of the Election Commission the transfers of key election related officials to ''adversely influence'' the holding of free and fair elections.

''These should be stopped and the EC should plan induction of Central Para-Military Forces to ensure free and fair elections,'' they added.
