TDP leader among nine killed in road accident

Hyderabad, Dec 11 (UNI) Nine people, including a TDP leader and Adilabad Zilla Parishad Vice Chairman, were killed in two separate road accidents in Nizamabad and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said six people, including the ZP Vice Chairman Jeevan Rao and four women, were killed when a car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Nageswar village of Navipet mandal.

The car was on its way from Basara to Nizamabad when it collided with the oncoming lorry.

The six were killed on the spot. Two seriously injured were admitted to a hospital nearby.

In the other accident, three people were killed when a car in which they were travelling collided with a state owned Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus near Ulindakonda village in Kurnool district.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital.
