Rains in parts of AP

Hyderabad, Dec 11 (UNI) Rain occurred at a few places over Rayalaseema and isolated over Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours.

Dry weather prevailed over Telangana, the weather office here said.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Rayalaseema and in the districts of Nellore, Prakasam and Guntur of coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

Mainly dry weather would prevail over Telangana and in the remaining districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, it added.

Kandukur recorded a heavy rainfall of 8 cm followed by Udayagiri 6, Vinjamur and Satyavedu 5 each, Seetharamapuram 4 and Tada, Proddatur and Porumamilla 3 each..

Minimum temperatures significantly rose at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at many places over Rayalaseema and changed little over Telangana. They were above normal over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and at many places over Telangana.

The lowest minimum temperature of 14 degrees celsius was recorded at Adilabad and Khammam.
