Patna, Dec 11 (UNI) Holding the Nitish Kumar government responsible for the rising crime here, leader of Opposition in the State Assembly and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today threatened to obstruct the business of the House until the people get ''justice''.

Ms Devi told newspersons here that the Opposition would not allow the House to function until its adjournment motion on the rising crime across the state was accepted.

She alleged that the speaker of the State Assembly was acting like a political leader inside the House and appeared committed to favour the NDA. She referred to the recent incidences of crime, including the killing of prof Papiya Ghosh, murder, loot, attack on common people, saying that the law and order situation in the State ''have slipped to its nadir''.

Dubbing the State government as ''paralytic, sick and disabled'', she alleged the Chief Minister was shying away from the fact and to save his skin he was avoiding the House.

Ms Devi reminded Mr Kumar of his promises to improve the law and order in the State within three months of assuming power and alleged that his promises nose dived and now the people wanted a reply from him.

She disclosed that the Opposition would take up the matter strategically inside the House and future action decided in the meeting during the day.

Ms Devi also alleged that the government was adopting ''double standards'' saying that on one hand the ''musclemen'' of the ruling party were roaming free and were enjoying tea and coffee with supercops, while on the other hand RJD MLAs were being picked up for no reasons.

She referred to the recent arrest of RJD MLA Kunti Devi from Atri, and alleged the arrest was a glaring example of the government's double standards.
