New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) Workers of Delhi BJP's youth wing today staged a demonstration outside the Kazakistan Embassy here against the demolition of a Hindu temple in that country.

Under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Harsh Vardhan and Pradesh Yuva Morcha President Anil Sharma hundreds of party workers held a protest and submitted a memorandum to the Kazak ambassador.

Addressing the workers, Dr Harsh Vardhan said the demolition had hurt the sentiments of Indians, especially Hindus and demanded reconstruction of the temple.

Kazakistan embassy officials assured the delegation that they would apprise their Government with the sentiments of the delegation.

The BJP Pradesh President informed that the Central Government has not expressed any protest against the demolition of the temple in Kazakistan.

Even as the UPA Government was following a policy of appeasement by disregarding the interests of the Hindus, British Prime Minister Tony Blair had expressed his displeasure over the matter, he said.

The Central government was pursuing one-point programme of appeasement on various issues whether in the case of reservation for the minority in government jobs, sending back the Bangladeshis, hanging of Mohd Afzal, Sachar Committee's report or census of minority in the army, he added.

The Prime Minister by stating that the minorities, specially the Muslims, had first claim on resources of the country had surprised the entire country, Dr Harsh Vardhan said.

He warned the Centre that if the interests of the Hindus were disregarded this way then the government would have to face serious consequences.
