Multi-facility hospital in Kolkata with Israeli assistance
Kolkata, Dec 11 (UNI) The West Bengal Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an Israeli farm for setting up of a multi-facility hospital at Chakgeria in the city.
Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Health Minister Surjyakanta Mishra and Israeli Ambassador to India were among others present during the signing of the MOU.
The Israeli farm, Erbit, which has entered into a tie-up with the city-based Gujarat Ambuja Group, will set up the 100-bed hospital at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
"The hospital will have multi-facilities with state-of-the-art technology. It will be built on 30 acres of land which we have already identified," the Chief Minister said.
The work for the hospital, which would take about five years, was expected to start in the next six months, he said.
