Mahant Parmanad Saraswati passes away

Allahabad, Dec 11 (UNI) Shri Panchdashnam Juna Akhada President and Akhil Bhartiya Akhada Parishad Mahant Parmanand Saraswati died here this evening.

Paramanandji was elected as the Juna Akhara President in Maha Kumbh at Allahabad in 2001.

His mortal remains are likely to be taken to Hardwar for 'Bhumi Samadhi'' at his ashram.

The saint had reached the holy city to participate in the Ardh Kumbh Mela starting from January 3 next year. The mahant was rushed to S R N hospital last evening, following a massive cardiac arrest and was in ICU.
