Kerala suffers innings defeat in Ranji Trophy

Palakkad, Kerala, Dec 11 (UNI) Kerala suffered an innings defeat as they were all out for 203 in their second essay against Assam in Plate A Group of the Ranji cricket tournament played here today.

Assam, after its innings victory pocketed five points for its outright victory, including a bonus point.

Rohan Prem (67) and Vipin Lal (45) and Aneesh (35) were the scorers for Kerala. For Assam, their paceman V Saravanan and Abu Nachim took four wickets for 24 runs and three for 61 respectively, while left-arm spinner, Katti took three for 57 runs.

Assam in their first innings scored 313 runs.

Kerala will now play their fourth match against Goa from December 16 at Goa.
